It´s Christmas soon.. and Eastern glory and promises too far away.

Easter is a time for renewal, and on our base, there are always symbols of that renewal all over in the form of roses of all kinds. In fact, the roses here by Easter time are already nearing the end of their first full bloom, and they will bloom many more times yet next year. Even in Kunar, in the midst of conflict, these roses are a constant reminder of the renewal that the Easter holy day represents for many.
